Debby was referred to me by a well known LI dog trainer. I have 2 amazing pitties and out of nowhere one just started showing severe aggression towards the other. We were in a bad situation thinking we would have to re-home one of them. And our little pit is deaf.
Debby worked with us and was honest from the start that she would observe them and work with them before making any recommendations for difficult choices. She was patient, kind and took the time to get to know us and our doggos. She spent time coming up with training plans for each session and documenting progress.
I'm so happy and thrilled to write this because after just a few weeks, we started to see a change in our doggos. We learned to identify triggers and find the harmony we needed to keep our family together.

I met Debby when I began volunteering at a high volume animal shelter with the goal of working with the more challenging dogs that needed training and enrichment the most. For over 5 years I worked with her and found her to have an innate understanding of any dog's behavior, and how to best handle that dog because of their personal behavior traits. Her priority was always what was best for each dog. I was truly fortunate to have Debby as a mentor, and the dogs she works with are fortunate to have an understanding and caring trainer. Debby has a unique combination of understanding what dogs need and how to communicate those needs to the owner. I met her when I adopted Brittney from North Shore, where Debby had been working closely with her for 3 years after she was placed there as a puppy. The transition from the shelter in Westhampton to my apartment in Manhattan brought many challenges for both Brittney and I. Through it all, Debby was always available with her insightful expertise and encouragement. I am happy to say that Brittney is now thriving, and can honestly say that we wouldn't have gotten here without Debby.
